Advanced publishing skills: intro to CSS
CSS is the language we use for designing web pages, apps and even books. Being able to write and edit CSS will unlock new possibilities for you and your work.
If you want to learn to write CSS, this practical, half-day workshop will get you well on your way. You’ll learn how to:
- write css for a basic web page from scratch
- change the design of existing web pages
- debug design problems in the browser
- use a preprocessor to create advanced CSS.
To register, you should have already completed an introductory digital-skills course, such as ‘Must-have tech skills for publishing pros’.

You must bring a laptop to do practical exercises, and be able to install software on it.
